Asemulator v0.5.3

New features

  •  Added "Help and tips" section in Asemulator configuration menu. 

Basically, documentation.

  • Added a reload option for reloading the Engine's background. 

Loaded backgrounds are now stored in memory as long as your instance of Aseprite is running, and needs to be reloaded with the new reload button if you wish to see your changes on it.

QoL changes

  • Added autoscrollbars on config dialogs (Engine properties, Actor properties, Tag bindings)

Bug fixes/Improvements

  • Partially fixed issue with dialog.bounds allowing the user to interact with widgets as long as the mouse doesn't move (see Aseprite issues #4757 and #4758)
  • Fixed an issue with the input record buttons not loading correctly under certain conditions
  • Fixed an issue where input bindings were not saved and loaded properly per sprite
  • Fixed an issue where "Asemulator > Clear" would cause an error when used multiple times consecutively
  • Added stronger version check when running Asemulator
  • Optimized the way background and theme images are stored, as well as the logic within the engine properties dialog for handling background
  • Improved variable naming to avoid potential conflicts with other scripts and extensions
  • Significantly reduced the number of transactions (undo-able actions) created when saving sprite preferences
